Burj Dubai, Worlds Tallest Skyscraper Proudly Opens Today
The people of Dubai are preparing themselves today, for the opening of the world’s tallest building – the Burj Dubai, which stands at over 160 stories high. The government hopes that the opening of the new building will revitalize the city’s economy.
Dubai faced a debt crisis in 2009 and it was one that forced the once-hot financial center, to turn to its neighboring Abu Dhabi for financial help. Dubai received its second $10 billion bailout loan from Abu Dhabi, back in mid-December last year.

According to washingtonpost.com, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, will be leading a day of celebrations for the unveiling of the Burj Dubai residential, hotel and office building that on a clear day, has views across the Persian Gulf.
Heres a comparison of Worlds tallest buildings and see where Burj Dubai stands.
